Description The HCS12 Family of devices contain a security mechanism preventing access to the contents of the internal Flash and EEPROM via the BDM or expanded operating modes. When security is enabled, normal BDM communications cannot be established with a target device. The only way to disable security using the BDM is to completely erase the on-chip Flash and EEPROM and program the security byte with a value of $FE. The UnSecure method will erase the Flash and EEPROM and program the security byte with a value of $FE, placing the target device in an unsecured state. Syntax HCS121.UnSecure Parameters are no required. See also: |
